A Brief Respite

Jake on the way to Amsterdam!

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. — Anonymous

Well, only now, sitting in the airport, did I realize I failed to note in last week’s post that I’ll be taking a break from the blog this Wednesday and the next.

Through good fortune (and my father’s wallet), I am currently on my way to Europe for about a week. There, I’ll see the sights, eat the food, meet the people, and do other nondescript touristing behavior–particularly because I’ve yet to plan a single activity.

(Heck, I don’t even have a room booked for my first night. Shhhhh–don’t tell my mom.)

Now, I know your current and upcoming Wednesdays will be a little less interesting without my psychophilosophical insight, but this trip will provide good fodder for the rambling introductions to the posts on this site. That is, rather than drawing from the standard drivel of grad school, maybe I’ll have an entertaining anecdote or two to share with you.

I mean, I will be meeting up with my sister over there who is the Sundance Kid to my Butch Cassidy.

So until you hear from me next, browse my prior posts, conduct some of you own research, and as always, practice active introspective psychophilosophy on your own life.

Sincerely,

jdt
